Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Reynaldo Barber!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Datsuro Sato!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sato on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Sato falls off balance throwing a combination
and Barber counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Barber throws a one two combo.
Sato is rocked!
Sato scores with a decent looking hook.
Sato is still on wobbly legs! Can Barber finish him?
Sato lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Barber circles away quickly and effectively.
Sato misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sato uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Barber has time to react.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Barber goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Barber takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sato misses with a lunging right hand
and Barber counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Sato chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Barber can pounce on him.
Barber lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Sato scores with a nice strike.
Barber has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Sato ducks under a wild hook from Barber.
Barber definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Barber tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Sato tries to bum rush Barber with a series of wild strikes but Barber uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sato throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Barber counters with a nice body shot.
Barber looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Barber works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Barber lands with a nice body punch.
Sato misses with a left hand
and Sato takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sato misses with an uppercut
and Barber counters with a nice right hand that sends Sato toppling to the canvas! Sato scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Barber finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sato takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Sato moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Sato has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Barber finds it's way round the side to connect with Sato's head.
Sato walks forward, straight into a front kick from Barber.
Barber fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sato.
Sato scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Nice defenses there by Barber.
A slow jab from Sato misses its intended target.
Sato moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Sato steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Barber.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barber ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Barber is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Sato like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Sato from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Reynaldo Barber!

Reynaldo Barber really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Savage Fightwear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
