Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devon Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Drago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Devon Cote! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cote closes the distance and clinches up with Drago, looking for a takedown. Cote pushes Drago against the cage but Drago circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Drago looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Drago shoots in for a takedown but Cote shows good takedown defense. Horrible takedown by Cote or perhaps it was just good defense by Drago which made him look bad. Cote connects with a solid leg kick. Cote thuds his shin into the meat of Drago's side. Cote tries for a takedown but Drago sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ivan Drago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devon Cote. Drago gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cote makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Cote misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Drago with a lazy takedown attempt and Cote counters with a takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cote moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cote tries to move to full mount but Drago actually manages to regain half guard. Cote moves nicely into side control. Cote wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Drago, who protects the arm well. Cote throws an elbow but Drago slips to the side and avoids it well. Drago is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Cote tries to move into full mount but can't pass Drago's legs. Drago manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Drago trying to control the action but Cote is working from the bottom. Cote is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Cote's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Cote is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Drago's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Drago's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drago trying to control the position but Cote manages to sink in the hooks. Drago defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Cote's arms. Cote looking for the RNC. What can Drago do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago fending off the submission attempt from Cote. Drago has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Cote really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Drago. Cote scores with punches from the back.
Cote has good solid back control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cote tightening his grip on Drago, looking for the choke. Drago showing good submission defense here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Drago wants to control his opponent's hands but Cote gets his hands free. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cote is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Drago avoids the strikes from Cote. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Devon Cote dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A solid body kick from Cote. Cote misses with a takedown attempt - Drago sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Drago tries to clinch but Cote moves away and Cote counters with an outside leg kick.
Drago shoots in but Cote avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cote shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Drago as he jumps to the side. Nice takedown defense from Cote. No joy for Drago on that attempt. Cote keeps Drago at a distance using the push kick. Ivan Drago is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Drago has his takedown stuffed and Cote counters with a leg kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Drago. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Drago shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cote pinned against the cage. Cote gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cote looks for a takedown but Drago sprawls well. Cote should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Drago. Drago scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Drago shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cote as he jumps to the side. Drago stuffs the takedown attempt from Cote. Cote gets slowly back to his feet. Drago closes the distance looking to clinch and Cote counters with a nice body kick.
Cote shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Drago but Drago pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cote ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Drago moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Drago misses with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Cote or perhaps it was just good defense by Drago which made him look bad. Drago swings and misses with a shot to the body and Cote counters with a series of strikes that sends Drago to the canvas! Cote follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Drago is rocked! Cote working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Drago is trying to control the position but Cote postures up. Cote is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Cote passes Drago's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Cote is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Drago is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cote's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cote's back! Drago is not going to allow Cote to sit and survive in this position. Cote might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Drago kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Devon Cote has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago lands shots from the back. Drago struggling to keep hold of the position.
Cote trying to control the hands but Drago won't let him. Drago is hanging on to Cote's back as he tries to escape.
Cote looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Cote prevents Drago from getting a body triangle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cote trying to control but not successfully. Cote can't escape the position.
Cote breaks Drago's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Cote advances to half guard. Cote trying to control the pace. Drago trying to control but Cote postures up.
Drago tries to get to full guard but Cote has control of the leg. Cote is trying to work for a kimura but Drago is defending well.

Devon Cote showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Cote fails to land the takedown. Cote will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Drago clinches but Cote breaks the clinch and Cote counters with a body kick that stops Drago in his tracks momentarily. Cote has a takedown stuffed. Ivan Drago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devon Cote. Drago tries to clinch up and Cote counters with a thumping low kick. Drago shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cote as he jumps to the side. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cote fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cote feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Cote is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Coteis looking to pass into half guard but Drago pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Drago is in guard. Drago would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Drago wants to control from the top but Cote keeps moving. Cote manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Ivan Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cote looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Drago wants to sweep but no luck. Cote has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Cote content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cote seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Despite being in the dominant position, Devon Cote just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cote gets a takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cote is looking to advance position but Drago won't allow it. Drago trying to hold on to Cote's head to control him but Cote postures up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cote in particular looking to stall. Cote trying to pass the guard but Drago defending well. Ivan Drago has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Drago tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Devon Cote comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cote has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
