Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Markus (ranked 3524 p4p, 4623 weight class) and Jaydon Hoffman (ranked 348 p4p, 412 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jaydon Hoffman was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Markus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jaydon Hoffman!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markus misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hoffman.
Hoffman shoots in looking for a takedown but Markus manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hoffman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Hoffman goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Markus has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hoffman but great work by Markus.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hoffman connects with a nice short shot to Markus's temple.

Hoffman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Markus is just riding it out for now. Hoffman eventually gives up the hold.
Markus has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hoffman is working away from the top position though.
