Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Faolin (ranked 2163 p4p, 2803 weight class) and Jet Gunner (ranked 271 p4p, 333 weight class). Faolin comes to the cage accompanied by It Ain’t a Crime by House of Pain. Jet Gunner has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Faolin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jet Gunner!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faolin on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Gunner throws a head kick but Faolin moves out of range.
Faolin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jet Gunner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Faolin circles away from the clinch attempt
enabling Faolin to counter with a crisp jab.
Gunner throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Faolin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Faolin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Gunner throws out a counter right but Faolin avoids it with no problem.
Gunner shoots in but no luck this time.

It looks like Jet Gunner has been cut.
Gunner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
As Gunner tries to get set, Faolin tries to push him back and clinch up but Gunner manages to avoid the attempt.
Faolin throws the left hand but Gunner avoids the punch easily.
Gunner darts in looking for a takedown but Faolin gets double underhooks and turns Gunner into the cage.

Faolin lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Gunner sprawling to the canvas. Faolin follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Gunner hang on?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Faolin decides to stand and escape the position.
Gunner's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Gunner duly obliges.
Gunner dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Gunner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gunner lands a jab-cross combination.

Faolin throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Gunner tumbling to the canvas!

Gunner is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Faolin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Gunner is still on wobbly legs! Can Faolin finish him?
Gunner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Gunner seems to have recovered his senses.
Joey Faolin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Faolin looks to throw the jab but Gunner is out of range.
Gunner tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Faolin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gunner paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gunner is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Gunner tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Gunner told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Joey Faolin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jet Gunner.

Faolin creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Gunner's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Gunner drops to his knees and Faolin pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joey Faolin!
A very excited looking Joey Faolin made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
