Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Romeo Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Konnor Gordon!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn throws a right and a left that both miss.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dunn. Gordon does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gordon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dunn moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Dunn takes the fight into the clinch.
Dunn manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Gordon has had enough of the clinch but Dunn keeps him there for the moment.
Dunn misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Dunn has Gordon pressed against the cage, preventing Gordon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Gordon is looking to break free of the clinch but Dunn has double underhooks.

Gordon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gordon scores with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dunn lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Gordon sprawling to the canvas. Dunn follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Gordon hang on?

It looks like Konnor Gordon has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dunn stalling.

Gordon has one foot on Dunn's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dunn tries to clinch up but Gordon circles away and keeps his distance.
Gordon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Dunn moves into range and clinches up with Gordon.
Gordon takes an elbow to the forehead.

Dunn breaks from the clinch.
Dunn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gordon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Gordon unleashes a big counter combination but Dunn bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Gordon throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gordon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gordon misses with a wild combination.
Gordon punishes Dunn's body with a nice straight punch.
Gordon walks into a left hand.
Gordon misses with a two punch combination.
Dunn takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dunn throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gordon counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Gordon scores with a one two! Dunn had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Dunn keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Gordon's efforts to push away.

I was talking to Dunn's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Gordon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gordon scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Gordon misses with a low kick.
A combination from Dunn does no damage.

Dunn gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Good body shot from Dunn.
Gordon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gordon tries to break the clinch but Dunn is controlling the position.

Dunn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dunn throws a series of punches but Gordon avoids them all with ease.

A nice combination there by Gordon.
Gordon moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Gordon is rocked!

Dunn clinches.
Gordon wants to break free but Dunn has control.
Dunn lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Gordon is still on wobbly legs! Can Dunn finish him?

Dunn breaks from the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gordon tries to break the clinch but Dunn is controlling the position.
Dunn lands an elbow inside.
Dunn is stalling here.
Dunn slowing the pace effectively.
Gordon takes an elbow to the temple.

Dunn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dunn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gordon.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dunn closes the distance and clinches.
Gordon tries to circle away but Dunn has him pinned against the cage.
Dunn lands an elbow inside.
Dunn scores with a hook to the body.
Gordon is trying to break the clinch but Dunn has him pressed against the cage.
Dunn stalling.
Clinched against the cage, Dunn lands a big elbow that drops Gordon! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Gordon is complaining that he's OK but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Romeo Dunn!
