Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Okropir! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hector Moreno! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moreno with a poor takedown
and Okropir counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Moreno wants to break free but Okropir has control.
Moreno tries to pull guard but Okropir holds him up against the cage and eventually Moreno drops back down to his feet.
Moreno trying to stall but Okropir improves his position.
Moreno stalling in the clinch but Okropir improves position. A short uppercut from Okropir. Okropir slows down the pace here.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moreno is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Moreno is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Okropir to keep the fight standing. Peter Okropir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hector Moreno.
Okropir pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Okropir pushes Moreno up against the cage in a clinch. Okropir lands a left hand.
Moreno is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Okropir to keep the fight standing.
Okropir manages to break the clinch.
Moreno misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Okropir.
Okropir tests Moreno's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Okropir gets a takedown into half guard. Okropir is controlling the pace.
Moreno won't allow Okropir to pass to mount.

Moreno is defending against the submission attempts here by Okropir.
Okropir takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Okropir throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Okropir is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Okropir is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Moreno defends it well. This has been an exciting period of action! Moreno trying to control here.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Okropir not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Moreno is looking to control Okropir's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Moreno avoid being mounted? Okropir seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Okropir is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Moreno on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Okropir lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Okropir is nestled in close to Moreno, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Okropir with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's four minutes gone in the round.
Okropir is trying for a kimura here. Moreno looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Okropir wins by kimura!

Our winner, Peter Okropir, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
