Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scooter Dahan (ranked 2590 p4p, 25827 weight class) and Mirza Rahimov (ranked 261 p4p, 433 weight class). Mirza Rahimov will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Scooter Dahan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mirza Rahimov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rahimov misses with a takedown attempt
so Dahan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rahimov wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Dahan manages to pass to side control.
Rahimov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dahan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rahimov is in trouble now - Dahan has advanced to mount!
Dahan lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dahan postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rahimov looks a forlorn figure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rahimov is bucking up trying to escape but Dahan cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Dahan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Dahan jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle�. Ooooh, that looks tight� Rahimov is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rahimov and Dahan has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Rahimov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Dahan advances nicely into full mount.
Dahan looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Dahan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dahan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Dahan winds up and cracks Rahimov with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Dahan wants to pass the guard but Rahimov is defending well.
Dahan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Dahan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rahimov defends it well.

Dahan is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Rahimov is hurt! He's hurt bad - Dahan fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Rahimov from any more punishment! Congratulations to Dahan! Great finish!
