Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Cool (ranked 3291 p4p, 25572 weight class) and Sheldon Mata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mata has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Joe Cool has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sheldon Mata!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Mata enables Cool to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mata manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mata looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Cool with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Cool will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cool lands a nice short elbow.
Cool has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cool perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Cool stands up and beckons Mata to join him on the feet.
