Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1069 p4p, 3043 weight class) and Kari Mountain (ranked 140 p4p, 336 weight class). Shima comes to the cage accompanied by The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 50 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tetsuo Shima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Mountain! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mountain tries to keep at a distance but Shima has taken the fight into the clinch. Shima leaning against his opponent.
Shima stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Shima misses with a body punch.
Mountain is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Shima throws a punch but it's blocked by Mountain. Mountain has had enough of the clinch but Shima keeps him there for the moment.
Mountain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shima moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
 It looks like Kari Mountain has been cut.
Shima fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mountain, pushing him back against the cage. Mountain working hard to break the clinch. Mountain wants to get back to striking at distance but Shima won't allow it.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Mountain wants to break the clinch but can't.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Mountain prevents a body shot from Shima. Shima fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Both fighters working to control the clinch. Shima is working Mountain over against the cage. Shima pressing his opponent against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Mountain.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Shima tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Shima is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Mountain is trying to push Shima away but Shima has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A left hand lands to the body for Shima.

Mountain checks the leg kick. Despite the aggression on Mountain's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Shima has closed the distance and engaged Mountain in a clinch.
Mountain is pushing Shima up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Mountain being controlled against the cage.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Mountain's face as he tries to break the clinch. Shima has Mountain pressed against the cage, preventing Mountain from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mountain just leaning against Shima, taking a breather. Mountain letting Shima take a breather here. The referee calls for Shima to work.
Mountain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shima has closed the distance and engaged Mountain in a clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shima will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mountain up against the cage. Shima works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tetsuo Shima dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kari Mountain's cut. That's time! Shima's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mountain misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tetsuo Shima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shima tries to clinch but Mountain is having none of it. Mountain moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Shima feints a jab promting Mountain to slip. Shima then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Mountain slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Jab from Shima. Shima looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mountain is fending him off so far but Shima persists. Nope, Mountain circles away and we're back to standing. Mountain pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Shima back to the cage. Mountain follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Shima fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shima throws a looping overhand right but Mountain ducks down to avoid it. Shima falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mountain counters with a left to the body. Shima scores with a hook.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Shima tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mountain swats him away and circles back towards the center. Mountain looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Shima misses with a straight right.
Shima closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Shima misses with a short punch on the inside. Shima goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Mountain scores with a nice hook to the head. Shima tries a body shot but Mountain blocks it.
Mountain trying to control the position but instead, Shima has worked for underhooks and has pushed Mountain into the cage. Shima lands an uppercut. Mountain misses with the head strike.
Shima lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mountain backwards.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Shima swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Shima is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mountain can do to turn this around? Shima prevents Mountain from breaking the clinch. Mountain is trying to break free. Mountain has had enough of the clinch but Shima keeps him there for the moment. Shima's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Mountain is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Shima scores with a shoulder strike. Mountain is trying to break the clinch but Shima has him pressed against the cage. Shima keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mountain's efforts to push away. Mountain prevents a body shot from Shima.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mountain leaning his opponent against the cage. Tetsuo Shima has scored more points in the clinch so far. Shima tries to throw a body punch but Mountain avoids it by throwing Shima back against the cage. Shima is stalling here.
Mountain wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shima has him pressed against the cage. Mountain takes a shot to the head. Mountain has had enough of the clinch but Shima keeps him there for the moment. Shima keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mountain's efforts to push away. Mountain avoiding damage.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Shima tries a body shot but Mountain blocks it.
Shima pushes Mountain back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Shima has Mountain pushed against the cage. Mountain is trying to break free. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Shima effectively controlling the action here. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Shima takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shima lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tetsuo Shima dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Kari Mountain's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Mountain needs to keep his hands up - Shima had a free shot at his head there. Shima bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. A big right from Shima misses. Shima throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shima misses with a wild body shot. As Shima backs off Mountain throws a huge counter combo but Shima manages to avoid it all. Mountain bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shima's head. Shima connects with a single shot there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shima lands with a nice body punch. Shima fails in his attempt to clinch.

Shima pressing his opponent against the cage. Mountain looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Shima lands with a short shot to the head. A short right from Shima.
 Mountain is rocked! Shima slowing the pace effectively. Mountain wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A nice right hand lands inside from Shima. Mountain is still on wobbly legs! Can Shima finish him? Shima will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mountain up against the cage. Mountain tries to circle away but Shima has him pinned against the cage. Kari Mountain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Shima blocks an uppercut.
Mountain seems to have recovered his senses.
Mountain escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shima missing with a left hand there. Mountain was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mountain uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shima.
Mountain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shima lands with a shot to the body. Tetsuo Shima is winning the standup battle so far. Shima misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mountain.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Mountain. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mountain throws an overhand right that lands on Shima's shoulder, as Shima tries to avoid the shot. Shima swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Shima tries to clinch but Mountain moves out of range. Mountain pulls out of a head kick attempt.
It looked like Shima was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mountain uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shima. Shima looks to land a combination. Mountain sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
 That has opened up Kari Mountain's cut even more. A looping hook to the body misses from Mountain. Shima does a little dance to reset his feet. Shima takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Shima lands a jab to the head.
Shima tries to clinch up. Mountain fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Shima jabs at Mountain's body. Shima's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Shima duly obliges. Shima scores with a jab to the body. Mountain misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shima.
Shima bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mountain's head.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shima lands a jab to the nose.
Shima forces Mountain back against the cage and clinches. Mountain takes a shot to the head. Mountain looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mountain taking a breather. Mountain stalling the fight.
A nice left hand lands by Shima.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Mountain is trying to break the clinch but Shima has him pressed against the cage. Mountain tries to break free but Shima pushes him back against the cage. Tetsuo Shima is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A short left from Shima. A head punch blocked on the inside by Shima.
And that's the end of the fight! Tetsuo Shima showed his dominance in that final round. Well Shima has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
