Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bo Cooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raul Santos!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Cooper or perhaps it was just good defense by Santos, which made it look bad.
Santos is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Cooper shoots in and gets a takedown into Santos's guard.
Santos has momentary wrist control but Cooper slips an elbow through the middle.
Cooper postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Cooper is in close to Santos's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Cooper chips away with some ground and pound.
Cooper lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Cooper avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Cooper with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Santos is rocked!
Cooper postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Santos covers up, he's hurt! Cooper keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Cooper and the ref steps in to end the fight! Cooper can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bo Cooper!
After winning the bout, Bo Cooper thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
