PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tout Petit Gigante (ranked 2864 p4p, 4620 weight class) and Kuba Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tout Petit Gigante!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kuba Nowak!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gigante tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nowak sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gigante somewhat.
Gigante shoots in looking for a takedown. Nowak tries to sprawl out of it but Gigante keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nowak manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nowak throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gigante tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nowak is in Gigante's guard.
Gigante could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gigante has his foot on Nowak's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nowak works his way back into a safe position though.
Nowak wants to control from the top but Gigante keeps moving.
Nowak is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gigante has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Nowak is looking to defend but Gigante has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Nowak! Gigante pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Nowak taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tout Petit Gigante!
