Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jumanji Mowala (ranked 3199 p4p, 2554 weight class) and Charles Luciano (ranked 363 p4p, 298 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jumanji Mowala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Luciano!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Luciano is defended easily by Mowala.
Mowala misses with a combination
and Luciano counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mowala won't be happy with that.
Mowala is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Luciano's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Luciano throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Luciano seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Mowala tries to roll over but Luciano keeps him under control.

Luciano is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mowala gets his way!
Mowala is trying to stick to Luciano's back but Luciano is turning into Mowala. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Mowala's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Luciano.

Jumanji Mowala has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Luciano.
Mowala throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
