Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Zuev (ranked 1978 p4p, 1261 weight class) and Juan David Franco (ranked 254 p4p, 169 weight class). Franco has chosen Bullet For My Valentine- Tears Don't Fall as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Aleksandr Zuev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juan David Franco! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Franco pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zuev throws a right hand that Franco ducks under and follows up with a left that Franco also avoids with ease. Franco misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zuev.
Juan David Franco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Franco throws a looping overhand right but Zuev ducks down to avoid it. Franco misses with a looping left. Jab from Zuev. Zuev moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Franco misses with a wild combination.
As Franco looks to move away, Zuev throws a big counter combo but Franco just gets out of the way. Zuev looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Franco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zuev moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Franco keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Franco tries to bum rush Zuev with a series of wild strikes but Zuev uses good footwork to avoid the assault. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Zuev dips to his left and cracks Franco with an uppercut! Franco throws a sloppy head kick letting Zuev counter with a right hand. Franco throws a left and a right that both miss
and Zuev counters with a lovely straight right hand! Zuev fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Franco walks into a stiff left hand from Zuev.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Franco misses with a double jab
letting Zuev counter with a right hand. Franco takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
 Franco is rocked! Franco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zuev moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Zuev is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Franco missing with a left hand there. Zuev was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Franco throws a right hand that misses
and Franco takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Franco throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zuev. Zuev lands a glancing blow to the side of Franco's head. Franco is still on wobbly legs! Can Zuev finish him? Franco takes one on the button. Franco throws a head kick that misses and Zuev counters with a straight right hand. It looks like Zuev has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Zuev connects with a good right hand that stumbles Franco. Franco circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Zuev is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zuev slips a jab and a cross from Franco.
Zuev takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Zuev dodges the punch combination from Franco.
Zuev was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Franco seems to have recovered his senses.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Franco is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Zuev moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aleksandr Zuev! Aleksandr Zuev decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
