Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tommy Fu !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 40 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daerji tries to clinch up.
Fu throws a right hand that Daerji ducks under and follows up with a left that Daerji also avoids with ease.
Fu scores with a jab to the jaw.
Daerji gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fu counters with a right hand to the body.
Fu lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Daerji backs up against the cage.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Fu - that will leave a mark!
Fu connects with a solid leg kick.
Fu fails to land with a series of punches.
Daerji moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fu scores with a hook to the body. Daerji takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Daerji misses with a takedown attempt
and Fu counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Daerji gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tommy Fu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xi Daerji.
Daerji looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Fu rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Daerji moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Fu lands with a shot to the body.
The fighters circle, before Fu throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Daerji's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Fu lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Tommy Fu !
In his post fight interview, Tommy Fu started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
