Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jong Hoon (ranked 3841 p4p, 4712 weight class) and Ippo Takamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoon's entrance music is No Motherland Without You. A fine choice. Ippo Takamura will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jong Hoon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ippo Takamura!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takamura scores with a nice strike.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hoon.
Takamura lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Hoon needs to keep his hands up - Takamura had a free shot at his head there.
Takamura throws a hook but Hoon blocks it.
And Hoon counters with a quick kick to the body but Takamura blocks it.
Hoon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Takamura.
Nice uppercut there from Takamura.
Hoon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hoon is rocked!
Takamura stuns Hoon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oh Hoon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hoon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Takamura to the ground. Hoon is now in Takamura's guard.
Hoon seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Takamura has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Hoon is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Hoon is trying to drag Takamura to the mat but Takamura just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Takamura lands a right hand that snaps the head of Hoon backwards.
Hoon prevents a body shot from Takamura.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Takamura.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hoon.
Hoon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Takamura pulls his leg out and moves away.
Takamura gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hoon to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Takamura is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hoon wants to control from the top but Takamura keeps moving.
Hoon loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Takamura avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Hoon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hoon looking to sit in guard and control but Takamura gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hoon goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Takamura is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hoon had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Hoon looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Hoon pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hoon scores with a kick to the midsection.
Takamura connects with a body shot that sends Hoon's belly button to the back.

Takamura swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hoon.
Takamura circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Hoon to the canvas! Hoon doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Takamura keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ippo Takamura!
