Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryobi Sansho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Butch Wang!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sansho throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sansho throws a jab when Wang was well out of range.
Wang uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sansho.
Wang scores with a nice head shot.
Wang has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sansho is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Sansho takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sansho misses with a lunging right hand
and Wang counters with an outside leg kick.
Sansho throws a big shot that misses.
Sansho throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sansho is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Wang.
Sansho throws out a loose jab but Wang uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wang scores with a kick to the midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wang displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sansho throws out the jab.
Sansho moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Sansho throws a big shot that misses.
Sansho misses with a lunging right hand
letting Wang counter with a right hand.
Sansho is rocked!
Sansho definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wang cracks Sansho on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Sansho falls backwards against the cage. Wang follows up with more strikes that drop Sansho to his knees. Wang keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Sansho! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Butch Wang!
