Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Mcdonald (ranked 3311 p4p, 4484 weight class) and Johnny Jones (ranked 311 p4p, 379 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Mcdonald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Jones! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones has his takedown stuffed
and Mcdonald counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mcdonald. Mcdonald throws a big elbow that misses. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth. Mcdonald trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcdonald gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mcdonald tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard. Jones is looking to stand up but Mcdonald isn't so interested in that idea. Mcdonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mcdonald doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mcdonald manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcdonald defends well. Mcdonald with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcdonald can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jones working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Mcdonald has passed into half guard!
Jones is refusing to be controlled, as Mcdonald sits in half guard. Mcdonald scoring with strikes to the body and head. Jones is looking for a sweep. Mcdonald is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mcdonald is controlling the pace.
Mcdonald has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones is trying to control but can't.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald winds up and cracks Jones with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Mcdonald is trying to control the action in half guard but Jones is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
 The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Mcdonald is looking for a kimura here.
Mcdonald is taking a breather. Jones says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mcdonald is trying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Jones is defending against the submission attempts here by Mcdonald.
Jones looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones wants to improve his position but Mcdonald is controlling well.
Jones won't allow Mcdonald to pass to mount.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald is trying to control the action in half guard but Jones is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Jones tries to roll over but Mcdonald keeps him under control. Jones keeps trying to improve his position. Mcdonald landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mcdonald scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mcdonald stalling.
Mcdonald is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Mcdonald seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Mcdonald seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jones is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Nick Mcdonald! Nick Mcdonald spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
