Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malaki Solis (ranked 25572 p4p, 25413 weight class) and Owen Wall (ranked 540 p4p, 505 weight class). Solis's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, VtM Redemption OST - Redemption Theme Modern. The key to victory for Malaki Solis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Malaki Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Owen Wall!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wall has managed to clinch.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Wall has eaten all the pies!
Solis lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Owen Wall has been cut.
Wall throws a sloppy head kick
and Solis counters with a nice body shot.
Solis misses with a wild combination.
Solis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Wall looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Wall waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Solis.
Solis throws a head kick but Wall moves out of range.
Wall dives in for a single leg takedown but Solis sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Solis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Solis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wall is fending him off so far but Solis persists. Nope, Wall circles away and we're back to standing.
Wall only half commits to the counter leg kick.

Wall rushes Solis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Solis throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Wall avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Wall counters with a good low kick that Solis was not able to check.
Solis throws a sloppy head kick and Wall moves out of range easily.
Wall will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Solis tries to avoid it but Wall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Solis to the ground. Solis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Malaki Solis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Owen Wall.

Solis using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Wall has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Solis pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Solis is defended easily by Wall.

Wall gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wall misses with a punch on the inside.
Solis tries to land a knee to the head but Wall blocks with his arms.

Wall pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Solis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wall throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Solis.

Wall instigates a clinch.
Wall changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Solis fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Wall keeps the fight on the outside.

Wall rushes Solis and presses him up against the cage.
Solis misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Wall.

Wall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Wall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Solis goes for a double leg but Wall avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wall continues to drive forward.

Solis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Solis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wall has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Solis avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Malaki Solis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Wall. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Owen Wall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wall has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
