Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oreo Hopgood (ranked 319 p4p, 458 weight class) and Ilya Muromets (ranked 44 p4p, 58 weight class). Hopgood comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Stop The Music - Rihanna. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Oreo Hopgood! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ilya Muromets! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hopgood cracks Muromets with a good jab. Hopgood fails to land the takedown. Hopgood misses with a wild body shot. And Muromets tries to counter it with a takedown but Hopgood pushes his down on his head and steps out. Muromets avoids the body shot from Hopgood.

Hopgood scores with a takedown into Muromets's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hopgood is looking to work some ground and pound but Muromets has wrist control. Muromets tries to land a sweep but no joy. Muromets working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hopgood.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Muromets wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hopgood postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hopgood passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hopgood scores with a couple of short elbows. Muromets manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hopgood has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Muromets winds up and cracks Hopgood with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hopgood is not content to let Muromets control the position.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Muromets is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Hopgood blocking the ground and pound attempt from Muromets. Nice strikes from Muromets there. Muromets not landing any meaningful shots this time. Muromets thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hopgood's head. Muromets trying to control from half guard but Hopgood is working away. Hopgood is trying to maintain the position but Muromets is very close to passing his half guard.

Muromets scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Muromets with a nice head shot there. Muromets throws an elbow that misses. Hopgood uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Muromets's guard. Nice move by Hopgood!
Muromets is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Hopgood cracks Muromets with a solid left hand. Hopgood postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hopgood stopping the sweep attempt from Muromets. Muromets is trying to keep Hopgood in close.
Hopgood postures up in Muromets's guard and throws a big left but Muromets blocks it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Muromets trying to control the position.
Hopgood lands a couple of digs. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Oreo Hopgood dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Muromets counters with a single leg into guard. Hopgood didn't expect that. Muromets makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Muromets slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Muromets lands some shots froms side control. Muromets trying to control the action but Hopgood is working from the bottom. Muromets working the strikes but Hopgood uses the opportunity to regain half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Muromets is looking to advance position but Hopgood won't allow it. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Muromets connects with a nice short shot to Hopgood's temple. Hopgood tries to roll over but Muromets keeps him under control.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Muromets working over Hopgood with some ground and pound. Hopgood looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Hopgood blocking the ground and pound attempt from Muromets. Muromets not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hopgood is looking for a sweep. Muromets is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hopgood is looking to control Muromets's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hopgood avoid being mounted? Muromets looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hopgood with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Muromets is pressing down on Hopgood's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hopgood is holding on for now. Hopgood tries to roll over but Muromets keeps him under control.
Muromets thows an elbow strike that misses. Hopgood gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Muromets doesn't seem too bothered but Hopgood quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Muromets is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Muromets really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
