Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Johns (ranked 21557 p4p, 25324 weight class) and Cody Beair (ranked 398 p4p, 403 weight class). Beair has chosen We Will Rock You as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Johns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cody Beair!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beair tries to clinch but Johns moves out of range.
As Beair looks to move away, Johns throws a big counter combo but Beair just gets out of the way.
Beair ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Johns drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Johns tries to advance to mount but Beair denies him.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Beair looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Beair tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Johns wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Johns fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johns working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Johns trying to control the action but Beair is working from the bottom.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Johns throws an elbow but Beair slips to the side and avoids it well.
Johns is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Beair's shoulder. That is not cool.
Beair is wriggling around trying to escape but Johns has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Beair taps out and Johns picks up the big win! Great work there by Johns!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). John Johns!
