Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rodney Bates!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter throws a head kick that misses.
And Bates responds with a good body kick, but Hunter manages to step out the way in time.
Hunter moves out of range of the body kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Hunter!
Bates moves into the clinch.
Hunter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
A nice right hand lands inside from Hunter.
Bates breaks the clinch.
Bates throws a leg kick that misses.
Hunter throws a series of strikes that have Bates backpedaling.
Hunter looks to land a combination. Bates sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hunter feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Bates crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Chad Hunter!
Chad Hunter bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
