Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Eklund (ranked 1873 p4p, 1997 weight class) and Bojan Lukic (ranked 235 p4p, 247 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hugo Eklund!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bojan Lukic!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eklund thows a body kick. Lukic tries to catch it but that hurt him.
We've been hearing reports that Eklund has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Eklund throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lukic counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lukic looks to score with a jab to the body but Eklund is just out of range.
Eklund connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lukic's hands.
That kick from Eklund tenderised Lukic's leg. Lukic is trying to keep his angry face on.
Eklund circles away from the clinch attempt.
Eklund turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Eklund ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lukic avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lukic takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Eklund fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lukic.

Eklund misses with a double jab
and Lukic counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Eklund bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Eklund tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Eklund has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lukic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Eklund. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Eklund is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lukic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lukic tries to buck Eklund off but Eklund is having none of it.
Eklund decides to stand back up.

Eklund plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A little jabbing left from Lukic on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Eklund ducks under a wild hook from Lukic.
Eklund shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Eklund frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eklund is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lukic to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lukic shrugs it off.

Eklund wants to finish this one by submission but Lukic is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Eklund.

Lukic moves into range and clinches up with Eklund.
Eklund breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Eklund throws a hook to the side of Lukic's head but Lukic sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lukic throws the left hand but Eklund avoids the punch easily.

Lukic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Eklund pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Eklund turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Hugo Eklund seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eklund fails with a takedown attempt.
Lukic misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Eklund.
Eklund throws a quick inside leg kick.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eklund throws a leg kick which misses Lukic's front leg but catches the back leg as Lukic tries to avoid it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and Eklund counters with a one-two to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Eklund cracks Lukic with a good jab.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Hugo Eklund dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Eklund slips a jab from Lukic.
Eklund fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lukic.
Lukic throws a looping overhand right but Eklund ducks down to avoid it.
Lukic gets caught napping as Eklund dives in and scores a takedown. Lukic manages to retain guard.
Lukic is trying to keep Eklund in close.
Eklund is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Eklund is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lukic can do to turn this around?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eklund passes Lukic's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lukic is looking for a sweep. Eklund is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Eklund decides to stand and escape the position.
Lukic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Eklund paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Eklund lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like Bojan Lukic has been cut.
Sloppy strikes from Lukic. Those never looked like landing.
Eklund misses with a straight left.
Lukic throws out a counter right but Eklund avoids it with no problem.

Eklund swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
