The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palaver keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
McMaloney shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Palaver but Palaver pushes him off and we're back to square one.
McMaloney is looking to clinch but Palaver is avoiding it.
Palaver scores with a takedown into McMaloney's guard.
Palaver wants to control from the top but McMaloney keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Palaver accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Palaver is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Palaver gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Palaver gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Palaver apologises and we restart here on the feet.

McMaloney tries to land a front kick but Palaver steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Palaver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McMaloney's waist but McMaloney gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Palaver off to one side.

and Palaver counters with an outside leg kick.
A slapping body kick lands there for McMaloney.

Palaver creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McMaloney sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
