Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vinny Corcoran (ranked 21582 p4p, 2199 weight class) and Mike McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuire has chosen It's been a long time as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corcoran takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Corcoran misses with a straight left.
Corcoran throws a jab but it's blocked by McGuire.
McGuire's coach down at London MMA Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on McGuire's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
McGuire tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Corcoran was well out of range. Poor timing from McGuire.
Corcoran moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
McGuire bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Corcoran misses with a hook to the body
and McGuire counters with a stiff right hand.
Corcoran misses with a straight right.
Corcoran bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
McGuire fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Corcoran looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Corcoran throws a shot from downtown. McGuire moves away and avoids it.
McGuire connects with a crisp jab.
McGuire displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Corcoran throws out the jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McGuire dips to his left and cracks Corcoran with an uppercut!

Vinny Corcoran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGuire throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A nice leg kick lands there from McGuire.
McGuire lands a jab to Corcoran's midsection.
McGuire lands with a kick to the temple. Corcoran shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

McGuire takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A solid leg kick lands there for McGuire.
McGuire is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Corcoran had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

McGuire lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Corcoran throws an off balance right hand
and McGuire counters with a leg kick.
McGuire defending well as Corcoran loads up on a big left hand.
McGuire looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
That kick from McGuire tenderised Corcoran's leg. Corcoran is trying to keep his angry face on.
Corcoran is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
McGuire explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Corcoran looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

McGuire was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
McGuire sizes up Corcoran with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
McGuire closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
McGuire lands a body shot.
Corcoran misses with a hook from the clinch.
Corcoran misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Corcoran is trying to force a seperation but McGuire has the dominant position.
McGuire blocks a punch to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
