Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexsei Mikhaylov (ranked 24861 p4p, 2101 weight class) and Peat Macallan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mikhaylov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to King Von - Armed & Dangerous (Official Video). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexsei Mikhaylov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peat Macallan! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macallan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Macallan is looking for a kimura here.
Mikhaylov slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mikhaylov is striking but Macallan is not phased and passes to half guard. Mikhaylov is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Cozad MMA Las Vegas that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Macallan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mikhaylov's head. Mikhaylov is staying active underneath Macallan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Macallan postures up and lands a big shot to Mikhaylov's brow. Mikhaylov doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mikhaylov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mikhaylov looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mikhaylov keeping moving, preventing Macallan from controlling successfully. Mikhaylov looking to control.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Macallan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mikhaylov's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mikhaylov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Macallan trying to control but Mikhaylov is working from the bottom. Macallan looking to pass the guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Macallan advances to half guard. Mikhaylov is trying to get back to full guard. Macallan content to control rather than advance. Macallan prevents Mikhaylov from improving his position.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Macallan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mikhaylov sees it coming and defends easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mikhaylov with the active half guard here but Macallan passes nicely into side control. Mikhaylov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Peat Macallan dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mikhaylov needs to keep his hands up - Macallan had a free shot at his head there. Macallan scores with a hook to the body. Mikhaylov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Mikhaylov takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Mikhaylov tries to move into range but Macallan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Macallan scores with a nice right hand.
Macallan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mikhaylov sprawls well initially but Macallan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mikhaylov actively working from the bottom here. Macallan is pressing down on Mikhaylov's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mikhaylov is holding on for now. Mikhaylov is not content to let Macallan control the position.

Macallan wants to pass to mount but Mikhaylov is defending the position. Macallan is taking a breather. Mikhaylov says something to him but it's hard to make out.  That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mikhaylov doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Mikhaylov is trying desperately to improve position. Macallan working away from the top, dropping strikes. Macallan trying to control but Mikhaylov is having none of it. Mikhaylov is trying to escape the mount.
Macallan is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mikhaylov has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mikhaylov! Macallan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Macallan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mikhaylov looking to pass the guard. Mikhaylov looking to sit in guard and control but Macallan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mikhaylov keeping full guard, as Macallan tries to pass. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mikhaylov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Peat Macallan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Mikhaylov can't do much from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Macallan wants to control but Mikhaylov is keeping him busy.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Macallan wants to control for a moment but Mikhaylov uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Mikhaylov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mikhaylov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Macallan is one step ahead there. Macallan works over Mikhaylov with some ground and pound from guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Macallan wants to control from the top but Mikhaylov keeps moving. Macallan won't allow Mikhaylov to sweep him here.
Mikhaylov has his foot on Macallan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Macallan works his way back into a safe position though. Macallan trying to control the position from guard on top but Mikhaylov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Macallan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Mikhaylov will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Peat Macallan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Macallan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Macallan's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Macallan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Mikhaylov. Mikhaylov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mikhaylov gets tackled into the cage by Macallan. Macallan maintains the clinch.
Macallan works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Macallan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Mikhaylov looking for a guillotine here but Macallan defends easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Peat Macallan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Macallan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
