Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Allen Richmond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Byron Hibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Allen Richmond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Byron Hibbs! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richmond throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Richmond fails in his attempt to clinch. Richmond stuffs the takedown. Richmond shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hibbs as he jumps to the side. Richmond lands a jab. Hibbs fails to land the takedown. Hibbs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Richmond shoots in looking for a takedown. Hibbs tries to sprawl out of it but Richmond keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hibbs manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hibbs checks a low kick from Richmond.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hibbs gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Richmond tries to free his leg and advance position but Hibbs is retaining full guard. Hibbs looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hibbs is looking to sweep but instead, Richmond has passed into half guard.
Richmond is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Hibbs tries to roll over but Richmond keeps him under control. Hibbs gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Richmond is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Richmond has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Richmond throws a big right hand that misses. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hibbs is on top in guard.
Hibbs wants to stand but Richmond is controlling his posture from full guard. Richmond pulls Hibbs in close to his closed guard and prevents Hibbs from doing any damage or advancing position. Hibbs tries for a takedown but Richmond circles away easily and Richmond counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hibbs thinking. Allen Richmond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Byron Hibbs. Hibbs looks gassed! Richmond scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Richmond seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Richmond is looking for a kimura but Hibbs is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Richmond to get the leverage. Richmond landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Richmond decides to stand up. Richmond throws a head kick but Hibbs moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hibbs shoots for a double leg takedown but Richmond sprawls well. He's pushed Hibbs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Richmond lands a nice hook to Hibbs's body. Hibbs takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Hibbs is breathing heavily. The fight stays on the outside here - Richmond looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Richmond lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Richmond. Richmond knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hibbs on the ground. Richmond lands a nice shot to the head. Richmond controlling the pace for now. Richmond punishing his opponent with strikes.

The referee warns Hibbs that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richmond lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
