Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Poe Kant (ranked 3460 p4p, 24712 weight class) and Rafael Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Poe Kant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 41 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Gracie! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kant has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gracie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Kant jumps into guard, dragging Gracie to the mat.
Kant controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself. Kant tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kant pulls Gracie in to control the position. Gracie trying to control but Kant is working from the bottom. Kant is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kant has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gracie off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Kant decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kant wants to pass the guard but Gracie is defending well. Kant is controlling the pace.
Kant is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kant trying to pass the guard but Gracie defending well. Kant keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kant throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kant throwing shots but Gracie is blocking nicely.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gracie avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kant. Kant sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gracie defending well though. Kant with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Kant is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gracie defends it well. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kant wants to pass to mount but Gracie is defending the position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kant controlling the action here.
 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Gracie gets caught flat footed, as Kant shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kant slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kant controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kant decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gracie, up you get! Gracie takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gracie has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Kant looking to score a takedown here. Gracie is defending well but Kant drives through and ends up in Gracie's guard. Kant trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kant decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gracie, up you get!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Kant. Kant is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Kant misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Gracie is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Kant taking a breather here. Gracie has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Kant working the ground and pound but Gracie is defending the strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kant remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Poe Kant dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kant connects with a high kick. Kant ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gracie moves away.
Kant shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gracie's guard.

Kant's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kant closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kant decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gracie to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kant drives through with a takedown into guard. Kant is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around? Kant trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is breathing heavily. Kant showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kant wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position. Kant really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kant showing good wrestling skills to control the position.  That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kant is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kant lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gracie circles away quickly and effectively. Gracie with the counter takedown but Kant avoids it easily. Gracie looks for a takedown but Kant sprawls well. Kant went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Kant lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kant throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kant seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.  That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kant shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kant showed some decent athleticism there. Kant slows the pace down in half guard. Kant has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kant looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Well, if Kant is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight� I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza� Yum. Can't wait.

Poe Kant dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Kant rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kant looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.

Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kant not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Gracie preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kant is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him.

Kant shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kant was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Poe Kant overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kant tries to move to mount but Gracie blocks the move with his legs.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kant throwing shots but Gracie is blocking nicely. Kant is figuring out what he wants to do next.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kant throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily. Kant misses with a body shot.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kant looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Rafael Gracie has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Poe Kant is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kant seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
