Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Flynn (ranked 2608 p4p, 3816 weight class) and Maximo Yates (ranked 0 p4p, 436 weight class). Yates is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Red Nose by Tech N9ne. Maximo Yates will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cameron Flynn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Maximo Yates!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flynn dodges the punch combination from Yates.

Yates gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Flynn passes Yates's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ground and pound from Flynn.
Flynn working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Nice strikes from Flynn there.
Flynn is nestled in close to Yates, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Flynn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Flynn seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Flynn slips a nice elbow through Yates's hands, connecting with Yates's forehead.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Flynn seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yates on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Flynn winds up and cracks Yates with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Flynn connects with a nice short shot to Yates's temple.
Yates looks winded!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Flynn lands a nice short elbow.

Yates is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Flynn working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Yates is still in real trouble! Can Flynn finish him?
Flynn lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Yates! More strikes land and this one is all over! Flynn jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cameron Flynn!
After winning the bout, Cameron Flynn thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
The defeated Maximo Yates had this to say: '"Tonight wasn’t my night. I came in prepared, gave it my all, but credit to my opponent, they had the better game plan. No excuses. I’ll go back, watch the tape, and make the adjustments. Losses don’t define me, how I bounce back does. I’ll be back stronger, sharper, and hungrier. See y'.
