Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diogo Aveiro (ranked 3843 p4p, 5282 weight class) and Felo Puapua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Diogo Aveiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Felo Puapua!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puapua gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Puapua is struggling to control the position.
Aveiro has picked Puapua up - he's going for a ride! Aveiro dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Aveiro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Puapua is just riding it out for now. Aveiro eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aveiro is trying to control the action in half guard but Puapua is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Aveiro will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close round but I would say that Diogo Aveiro will probably get the nod.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
