Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladmir Ruten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xtreme MMA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MMA has chosen I Wont Back Down as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vladmir Ruten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Xtreme MMA!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MMA works Ruten's body with a nice hook.
Ruten throws a sloppy head kick and MMA moves out of range easily.
Ruten misses with a straight left.
MMA pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ruten misses with the combination.
MMA does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

MMA has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ruten is looking to break free of the clinch but MMA has double underhooks.
MMA misses with the head strike.
MMA is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ruten gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
A frustrated look appears on Ruten's face as he tries to break the clinch.
MMA is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ruten pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A head punch on the inside from MMA fails to land.
Ruten blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ruten wants to get back to striking at distance but MMA won't allow it.
MMA throws a punch but it's blocked by Ruten.
MMA can't get the takedown.
Vladmir Ruten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xtreme MMA.
Ruten lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
MMA has Ruten pressed against the cage, preventing Ruten from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
A looping hook to the body misses from MMA. Ruten does a little dance to reset his feet.
MMA keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ruten.
Ruten clobbers MMA with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Xtreme MMA has been cut.
Ruten swings for the body but MMA moves out of range.
Ruten rushes MMA with punches - MMA moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, MMA goes down! Ruten follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vladmir Ruten!
