Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yousef Alejandro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Norton Cockerell!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cockerell darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Cockerell scores with the left hand. Alejandro knows he should have avoided that one.
Alejandro swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cockerell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Alejandro misses with a series of wild punches.
Cockerell looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Yousef Alejandro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cockerell lands a big uppercut and Alejandro crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Alejandro looks OK. Cockerell waves Alejandro back to his feet!
Alejandro is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alejandro throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cockerell counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Alejandro out cold! What a finish! Cockerell is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Norton Cockerell!
Norton Cockerell made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Bye, Bye Muay Thai guy. three down one to go.'.
