Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Travis Hopkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Knight!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight throws a series of punches but Hopkins moves out of range.
Knight shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sloppy strikes from Knight. Those never looked like landing.

Hopkins lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

It looks like George Knight has been cut.
Hopkins feints and then cracks Knight's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Knight down.
Hopkins swats away the attempt to clinch by Knight.
Knight dives in and grabs Hopkins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hopkins pushes down on Knight's head and hops out.
A low kick lands for Hopkins.
Knight is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hopkins scores with the left hand. Knight knows he should have avoided that one.
We've been told by Hopkins's head coaches at Primal Concrete Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hopkins enables Knight to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hopkins manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Knight seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hopkins keeping moving, preventing Knight from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Knight loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Knight looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hopkins is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but Hopkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Knight pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hopkins is keeping the position for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hopkins slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Knight thows a left - swing and a miss!
A looping hook to the body misses from Hopkins. Knight does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hopkins lands a big head kick that sends Knight tumbling to the mat! Hopkins takes a step backwards and waves Knight back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Knight is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hopkins jabs Knight to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hopkins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Knight was well out of range. Poor timing from Hopkins.
Knight avoids the body shot from Hopkins.

Hopkins cracks Knight with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Knight looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away� can Hopkins finish him?
Knight is still on wobbly legs! Can Hopkins finish him?
Hopkins cracks Knight with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Knight falls to his knees and Hopkins doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Travis Hopkins!
An out of breath Travis Hopkins thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
George Knight was interviewed post fight and said 'I will not let this loss discourage me, I will be back!'.
