And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Von Meyer!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Pierre closes the distance and clinches.
St Pierre tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Von Meyer just stands there and leans against the cage.
Von Meyer swings away with an uppercut that misses.
St Pierre tries to pull guard but Von Meyer holds him up against the cage and eventually St Pierre drops back down to his feet.
Nice body punch from Von Meyer - that landed with a thud.
Von Meyer works on St Pierre's body with a couple of short punches.
St Pierre jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Von Meyer walks away with a smile on his face. St Pierre gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quinton St Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him.
St Pierre closes the distance but Von Meyer moves to the side
and Von Meyer makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Quinton St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Von Meyer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
St Pierre moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Quinton St Pierre has been cut.
St Pierre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Von Meyer.
It looked like St Pierre was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Von Meyer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Von Meyer bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
St Pierre throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Von Meyer counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Von Meyer counters with a crisp right that sends St Pierre to the canvas! Von Meyer follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Max Von Meyer seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
