Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Case (ranked 2896 p4p, 25022 weight class) and Xi Daerji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Case comes to the cage accompanied by Girei. Daerji has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Xi Daerji will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sammy Case!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 43 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xi Daerji!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daerji shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Case sprawls well. Case wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Daerji gets slowly back to his feet.
Daerji doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Case counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Case.
Daerji looks winded!
Case tries for a takedown. No joy.
Daerji can't get the takedown.
Sammy Case has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xi Daerji.
Daerji is working for takedown but Case is calmly controlling the position for now.
Case stalling the fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Case pulls Daerji into guard.
Daerji stops Case from standing up.
Case is looking for a triangle but Daerji pushes his legs off easily.
Case is looking to stand up but Daerji isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Case tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Case is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Case is trying to drag Daerji to the mat but Daerji just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Case lands a takedown into guard.
Case wants to control from the top but Daerji keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Case thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Case drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Case as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Daerji screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Case! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Sammy Case!
A less than humble Sammy Case misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
