The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Porter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Girou counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Porter moves in looking to clinch but Girou pushes him off.

and Girou makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Porter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Girou avoids it really well and circles away.

Porter takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Porter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Girou sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

It seemed like Girou was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Girou manages to pull guard.
Girou is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Girou is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Girou escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Porter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Girou counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Porter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Girou circles away quickly and effectively.

Porter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Porter misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Girou lands a nice hook to Porter's body. Porter takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Porter tries to clinch but Girou is having none of it.

Girou dips to his left and cracks Porter with an uppercut!

Porter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Girou tries to avoid it but Porter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Girou to the ground. Girou escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Porter throws a shot from downtown. Girou moves away and avoids it.
Oh Porter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Girou's jab looks to have found its range, popping Porter under the eye.
Porter rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Girou counters with a low kick, right behind Porter 's knee.
Girou stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Girou wants it to stay on the feet.
Girou lands a jab to Porter's midsection.

and Girou counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Girou connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Porter's hands.
Girou throws a monster overhand right that drops Porter! Girou follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
