Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Savion Mora (ranked 1921 p4p, 1853 weight class) and Marcus Spring (ranked 169 p4p, 161 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Savion Mora!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcus Spring!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spring throws the left hand but Mora avoids the punch easily.
Spring avoids the body shot from Mora.
Spring looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Mora connects with a body shot.
Mora looks to land a combination. Spring sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Mora avoids the body shot from Spring.
Mora half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Nice shot lands for Mora.
Mora misses with a hook to the body
and Spring counters with a lovely straight right hand!

A telegraphed right hand from Mora misses the target.
Spring throws a hook to the side of Mora's head but Mora sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've been hearing reports that Mora has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Mora throws a jab but it's blocked by Spring.
Mora misses with an uppercut.
Good exchange - Spring coming out on top.
Spring moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Spring doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Spring moves out of range of the strikes.
Mora misses with a hook. Spring ducked under it nicely.
Spring looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
A jab from Mora does it's job there.

Mora closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Spring quickly recovers to half guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Spring is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Mora is staying active.
Mora is controlling the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mora prevents Spring from improving his position.
Mora works his foot free and advances to mount.

Mora fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Mora unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Spring wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Mora celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
