Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Reese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristiano Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cane has chosen Breaking Benjamin - Diary of Jane as his entrance music. Cristiano Cane will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cristiano Cane!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Reese 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Reese closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Reese shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cane but Cane pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Cane stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Cane scores with a nice strike.

Reese has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cane wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cane wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reese has him pressed against the cage.
Cane prevents a takedown attempt there.

Reese tightens his grip and picks Cane up, before dumping him to the ground. Cane manages to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reese is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Reese had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cane is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Reese Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cane's back instead.

Cristiano Cane dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Cane throws a head kick that misses.
Cane loads up on a big right hand but Reese slips the punch.
Cane throws a right hand that Reese ducks under and follows up with a left that Reese also avoids with ease.
Reese looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cane is fending him off so far but Reese persists. Nope, Cane circles away and we're back to standing.

Cane stalks Reese and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Reese's face. Reese staggers backwards, shaken.

Cane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Cane fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Cristiano Cane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cane waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Reese.
Cane fails to land with a series of punches.
Cane looks to land a left hand but Reese moved out of range nicely.

Cane throws a sloppy head kick and Reese moves out of range easily.

Cane moves into range and connects with a jab.

Reese closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Reese lands in his opponent's guard.
Reese stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cane swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Cane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Reese prevents Cane from getting back to his feet.
Cane is breathing heavily.
Reese trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Reese stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cane swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Reese in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Reese or perhaps it was just good defense by Cane which made him look bad.
Cane lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice straight punches there by Cane. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cane.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Cane, as that shot connected.

Reese takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Cane misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cane rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reese moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Reese closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cane to the mat! Cane manages to get full guard.
Reese wants to control from the top but Cane keeps moving.

Cane utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Reese advances position into side control!
Reese is trying to move to mount but Cane reverses beautifully and ends up in Reese's guard.
Reese lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cane!

A close second round but Cristiano Cane will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
