Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Giorgi Kvaratskhelia! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Szuts Bendeguz! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kvaratskhelia swats away the attempt to clinch by Bendeguz. Kvaratskhelia shoots in but no luck this time. Bendeguz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bendeguz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kvaratskhelia to score an easy takedown into full guard. Bendeguz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kvaratskhelia is controlling him. Kvaratskhelia postures up and lands a big shot to Bendeguz's brow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bendeguz wants to stand but Kvaratskhelia is controlling the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bendeguz can do anything to dispel that myth. Kvaratskhelia has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kvaratskhelia landing some decent shots from guard. Kvaratskhelia wants to control from the top but Bendeguz keeps moving. Kvaratskhelia pushes down on Bendeguz's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kvaratskhelia is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Nice strikes from Kvaratskhelia there. Kvaratskhelia lands strikes from half guard. Kvaratskhelia lands with a punch from half guard. Kvaratskhelia trying to control the pace. Kvaratskhelia lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kvaratskhelia slips a nice elbow through Bendeguz's hands, connecting with Bendeguz's forehead. Kvaratskhelia drops an elbow to the side of Bendeguz's head. Kvaratskhelia with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Bendeguz looks like he's trying to stand up.
Still in half guard, Kvaratskhelia seems content to control. Kvaratskhelia is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kvaratskhelia content to control rather than advance. Kvaratskhelia prevents Bendeguz from standing back up.

Kvaratskhelia is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bendeguz is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Giorgi Kvaratskhelia! Giorgi Kvaratskhelia retains his heavyweight title! A less than humble Giorgi Kvaratskhelia misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
