Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matteo Ruffy (ranked 1528 p4p, 3598 weight class) and BJ Penn (ranked 156 p4p, 355 weight class). Ruffy's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, DMX - X Gon' Give It To Ya. Penn has chosen Hawaii '78 as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matteo Ruffy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, BJ Penn!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruffy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Penn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Penn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ruffy circles away.
Penn misses with an uppercut
letting Ruffy counter with a right hand.
It looks like BJ Penn has been cut.
Penn shoots in but Ruffy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ruffy is looking to counter punch.
BJ Penn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Penn looks to land a body kick but Ruffy moved away.
Ruffy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Penn throws out a powerful jab.
A big right from Penn misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ruffy lands a jab to Penn's midsection.
Penn misses with a lunging right hand
and Ruffy counters with a right hand to the body.
Ruffy works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Penn walks straight into a right hand from Ruffy - that's dropped him! Ruffy jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Penn from any more punishment! Penn complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Matteo Ruffy!
Post fight, Matteo Ruffy took to the microphone: 'There's no gawd in the cage, just the dawg coming to get you!'.
