Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Philip Roth (ranked 1831 p4p, 25177 weight class) and Victor Fries (ranked 81 p4p, 195 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Philip Roth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Victor Fries! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Roth.
A countering left hand to the body from Fries misses. Fries throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Fries takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Philip Roth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roth lands a really nice looking cross but Fries seems unphased.
Roth throws a hook but Fries avoids it easily. Roth throws a right hand that misses
and Fries counters with a straight right hand. A decent looking cross lands there for Roth. Roth loads up on a big right hand but Fries slips the punch. Fries doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Roth dips to his left and cracks Fries with an uppercut! Roth throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Fries counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Roth scores with a nice head shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Roth throws a right hand that misses
enabling Fries to counter with a crisp jab. Roth scores with a body shot.
Roth stalks Fries and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fries's face. Fries staggers backwards, shaken.
 That's one minute gone in the round. A big left from Roth misses. Nice uppercut lands for Roth. That snapped Fries's head back.
Roth cracks Fries with a good jab. Roth throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Fries looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Fries drops his hands momentarily and Roth takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Fries dodges the punch combination from Roth.
Fries avoids a lazy jab quite easily. As Roth backs off Fries throws a huge counter combo but Roth manages to avoid it all. Roth slips a jab from Fries.
Roth drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Fries onto his butt! Fries pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
 It looks like Victor Fries has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Fries looks to score with a jab to the body but Roth is just out of range.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Roth pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Roth misses with a hook. Fries takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Fries jabs Roth to the body, keeping him at a distance. Fries works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Fries jabbing away but nothing is landing. Fries slips under a jab. Fries misses with a lunging right hand
and Roth counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice defenses there by Fries. Roth looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Roth throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Roth moves out of range of the strikes. Fries ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Roth throws a nice looking combination but Fries bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Roth is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fries can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fries uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Roth. Roth is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Nice defenses there by Fries. Fries uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Roth. That made a horrendous noise. Victor Fries is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Roth pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Roth throws a combination that misses and Fries cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Roth scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roth works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
