Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 29 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Knuckles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Valentino Riley!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Riley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knuckles paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Knuckles bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Riley's head backwards.
Knuckles scoring well with a low kick there.
Valentino Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knuckles lands with a straight right. Riley didn't see that one coming.
Riley needs to keep his hands up - Knuckles had a free shot at his head there.
Nice body punch from Knuckles.
We've been told by Knuckles's head coaches at The Jungle Room that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Riley has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Knuckles finds it's way round the side to connect with Riley's head.
Riley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Knuckles is fending him off so far but Riley persists. Nope, Knuckles circles away and we're back to standing.
Riley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Knuckles circles away.
Knuckles wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice combination there by Knuckles.
Riley looks winded!
Knuckles lands with a shot to the body.
Riley moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Riley misses with a takedown attempt
and Riley takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bobby Knuckles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Valentino Riley.
Knuckles lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Riley is rocked!
Knuckles pushes Riley away with a front kick.
Riley is still on wobbly legs! Can Knuckles finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round.
Riley takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Look low, kick high! Knuckles uses the oldest trick in the book to send Riley tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Knuckles is absolutely delighted - when Riley wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bobby Knuckles!
