The crowd seem to be enjoying Hasani's choice of entrance music: Lament. Valon Hasani looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hasani takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Da Silva lands a jab to Hasani's midsection.
Da Silva connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Da Silva bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hasani's head.
Da Silva connects with a body shot that sends Hasani's belly button to the back.

Hasani's coach down at Tycoon Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hasani's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Da Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hasani has his opponent's back but Da Silva is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Hasani.

A decent looking cross lands there for Da Silva.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Da Silva, as that shot connected.
Da Silva closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hasani tries to move into range but Da Silva moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Da Silva slips a straight right by Hasani.
Da Silva lands with a hook. Hasani tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Da Silva scores with the left hand. Hasani knows he should have avoided that one.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Da Silva enables Hasani to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Da Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Da Silva wants to get back to his feet but Hasani passes into half guard.
Hasani seems to be looking for submissions.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Da Silva pushes Hasani off looking to stand but Hasani dives back in and keeps control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Da Silva stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Da Silva is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Hasani shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Da Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Da Silva is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hasani asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Valon Hasani has got the better of the ground game so far.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Hasani smells blood and goes for the finish - the referee warns Da Silva to improve his position but he's not intelligently defending himself and the referee has no choice but to step in and end the fight! Hasani jumps to his feet and celebrates the important win with his cornermen!
