Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adam Partridge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Edwards! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.

Partridge feints and as Edwards raises his hands in defense, Partridge changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Edwards wants to stand but Partridge is controlling the position. Partridge throwing strikes but missing. Partridge sitting in guard, not really doing much. Partridge won't allow Edwards to get back to his feet.

Partridge closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Partridge controlling from side mount. Partridge creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Partridge has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

After a battle for position, Partridge asserts his dominance and retains side control. Edwards regains half guard there - taking advantage of Partridge's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Partridge is breathing heavily. Edwards is trying to stand up here but Partridge is controlling him well. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Partridge seems to be working for a kimura but Edwards defends the submission attempt.

Edwards lands an overhand right. The fighters circling - Edwards throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Partridge drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Partridge stays in close to Edwards's body and controls the position. Partridge trying to control but Edwards is working from the bottom.

Partridge wants to pass the guard but Edwards is keeping the position. Partridge stays in close to Edwards's body and controls the position. Partridge has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Partridge trying to control the position from guard on top but Edwards is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Partridge dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Partridge scores with a takedown into Edwards's guard. Edwards wants to stand up but Partridge is controlling him. Partridge looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Edwards keeping moving, preventing Partridge from controlling successfully.

Partridge closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Edwards on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Partridge taking a breather here. Partridge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Edwards keeps working. Edwards is trying to buck Partridge off.

Partridge is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Edwards will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edwards is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Partridge tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Partridge has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Edwards being controlled for a moment.

Partridge tries to advance to mount but Edwards denies him. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Partridge has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Edwards! Edwards's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Partridge dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Partridge drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Partridge takes a little break here. Edwards wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Adam Partridge overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The ground and pound from Partridge seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

He's worked his way up against the cage but Partridge has just dragged him back down to the mat. Partridge scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Edwards to see if he's OK. Edwards is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Partridge is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Partridge scores with punches from side control. Partridge controlling the position from side mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Partridge goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Edwards has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Partridge but great work by Edwards. Adam Partridge is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Partridge tries to improve position but can't. Partridge is trying to control Edwards's posture but Edwards avoids it. Edwards looks up at the clock and then as Partridge takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Edwards smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Partridge showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Partridge, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
