Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Purple Gang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryk Anders!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anders throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Gang throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Anders counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The Purple Gang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gang takes a swing at Anders's ribcage but misses.
Anders digs a good hook to Gang's body.
Gang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gang misses with a double jab
and Anders counters with a nice body shot.
Anders lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Anders throws a leg kick but Gang sees it coming and moves out of range.

Anders slips a straight right by Gang.
Anders has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Gang dips to his left and cracks Anders with an uppercut!

Gang turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Anders fakes the leg kick and cracks Gang in the body.

Gang throws a right and a left that Anders avoids nicely.
Anders scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gang doesn't seem bothered though.
Gang throws a nice looking combination but Anders bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Anders sends Gang crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Anders is motioning to the referee to let Gang up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Gang is rocked!
Gang throws a hook to the side of Anders's head but Anders sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Oh Gang is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gang scores with a hook to the body. Anders takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Gang seems to have got his legs back now.
Gang looks to land a right hand but Anders moved out of range.
Gang throws out a loose jab but Anders uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Anders counters by clinching up.
Gang misses with a short punch on the inside.
Anders breaks from the clinch.
Gang throws a body shot but no joy.
Gang jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Anders connects with an inside leg kick.
Anders is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gang.
Gang lands a slapping body shot.

Gang throws a head kick that misses.
Gang throws a right hand that Anders ducks under and follows up with a left that Anders also avoids with ease.

Gang sets himself, and Anders steps forward looking for the clinch! Gang avoids it this time.
Anders cracks a nice hook into Gang's ribs.

and Anders counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

No joy there for Gang, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Anders now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Anders displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gang throws out the jab.
Anders looks like he wants to counter punch here.

I was talking to Gang's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The referee is keeping an eye on Anders - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Gang fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Anders has Gang pressed against the cage.

Gang throws a head punch that misses.
Gang lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Anders's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Anders counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Anders.
Gang takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Anders lands with a nice body punch.
Anders wants to clinch.
A little feinted left hand from Gang on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Anders looks to score with a jab to the body but Gang is just out of range.
Anders is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Gang rather than just go for the knockout.

and Anders counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gang throws a predictable looking body shot
and Anders makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Gang really felt that one!

Anders throws a monster overhand right that drops Gang! Anders follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
