Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Antoine Moreau (ranked 2353 p4p, 1918 weight class) and William Ward (ranked 241 p4p, 197 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Antoine Moreau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Ward! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moreau misses with an uppercut. Ward saw that one coming. Moreau scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ward changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Ward digs a good hook to Moreau's body.

 It looks like William Ward has been cut. Ward looks to score with a jab to the body but Moreau is just out of range. Moreau appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Some wild striking there from Ward.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Ward doesn't succeed with the takedown and Moreau counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Antoine Moreau is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fighters circling - Moreau throws out the jab but it was never going to land. This has been an exciting period of action! Ward staying out of range there. Ward doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Moreau blocks a head kick by Ward.

 That has opened up William Ward's cut even more. Nice body punch from Ward. We've been told by Moreau's head coaches at MMAH League and Warrior Nation that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. William Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ward shoots and misses and Moreau counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ward is still on wobbly legs! Can Moreau finish him? Nice defenses there by Moreau. Ward seems to have recovered his senses. A big left from Moreau misses. Ward thinks about the counter body kick.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Ward wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Ward gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Moreau counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Moreau takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Moreau rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ward makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ward throws a leg kick and Moreau cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ward darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Moreau is not content to let Ward control the position. Ward not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Antoine Moreau will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on William Ward's cut. That's time! Back to the action!

and Moreau counters with a nice right hand that sends Ward toppling to the canvas! Ward scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Moreau finish him?!
 The cut above William Ward's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Moreau looks to land a right hand but Ward moved out of range. As Moreau backs off Ward throws a huge counter combo but Moreau manages to avoid it all. Nice defenses there by Moreau. Ward moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Ward tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Moreau defends well and Ward ends up having to push Moreau into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Moreau uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ward.

Ward seems to be working for a kimura but Moreau defends the submission attempt. Ward wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moreau keeps working.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Moreau looking for a sweep. Not yet Moreau, not yet. Ward working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.  That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ward misses with a takedown and Moreau cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ward doesn't succeed with the takedown and Moreau counters with a nice uppercut.  William Ward's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Moreau with a jab. Ward with a lazy takedown attempt and Moreau counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ward is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Moreau rather than just go for the knockout. Moreau throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Antoine Moreau dominated that second round. The cut man is working on William Ward's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Ward looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Moreau is fending him off so far but Ward persists. Nope, Moreau circles away and we're back to standing. A looping hook to the body misses from Moreau. Ward does a little dance to reset his feet. Moreau lands a lovely overhand right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No joy there for Ward, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Moreau throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ward on the side of the head. Nice sprawl there from Moreau as Ward shoots in. and Moreau counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ward takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Moreau throws out a loose jab but Ward uses good head movement to avoid it.
Oooooh!!! Moreau has knocked Ward down with a huge combo! Moreau steps away and waves a wobbly Ward back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Moreau throws a combination that misses and Ward counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Moreau throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antoine Moreau! Antoine Moreau spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
