Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Martial Calixte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Tampolla!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tampolla connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

and Calixte counters with a nice body shot.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tampolla has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Calixte lands a left hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tampolla drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Calixte is pressed up against the cage. Tampolla has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Calixte down to the mat. Calixte avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Calixte throws an uppercut from hell that sends Tampolla clean off his feet! He's out cold! Calixte stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

After the fight, Martial Calixte was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
