And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Deonarine Sooklal!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dover lands a jab.
Sooklal fails with the takedown
enabling Dover to counter with a crisp jab.
Dover works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Decent striking displayed by Dover there.
Dover stuffs the takedown attempt from Sooklal. Sooklal gets slowly back to his feet.
Sooklal shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dover sprawls well. Dover wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sooklal gets slowly back to his feet.
Ben Dover has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deonarine Sooklal.
Dover drops Sooklal with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Sooklal looks back up at him and smiles so Dover waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

It looks like Deonarine Sooklal has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sooklal seems to have recovered his senses.
Dover sizes up Sooklal with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dover fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Sooklal square on the jaw! Damn, Sooklal is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
