Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Phat Mongol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cerebrinho Da Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cerebrinho Da Souza will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phat Mongol! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cerebrinho Da Souza! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mongol throws a sloppy head kick and Da Souza moves out of range easily. Da Souza misses with a head kick.
Mongol throws a right hand that Da Souza ducks under and follows up with a left that Da Souza also avoids with ease. Da Souza dodges the punch combination from Mongol.
Mongol buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mongol tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Da Souza fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Da Souza shoots in for a takedown but Mongol shows good takedown defense. Da Souza scores with a takedown into Mongol's guard. Mongol looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Mongol will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Mongol wants to sweep here but Da Souza controlling him for the moment. Da Souza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mongol. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Da Souza gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Mongol blocks a head kick by Da Souza.
Da Souza avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Da Souza shoots in but Mongol avoids the takedown attempt easily. Phat Mongol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cerebrinho Da Souza.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Da Souza fails with the takedown. Mongol fails to land with a series of punches.
Da Souza shoots in for a double leg but Mongol sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Da Souza shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Mongol is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Da Souza avoids the attempt from Mongol to control. Mongol regains half guard. Da Souza tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mongol.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Mongol manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Da Souza scoring with punches to the head and body. Mongol is looking to stand up but Da Souza isn't so interested in that idea. Da Souza stands up over Mongol, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Mongol looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Da Souza won't allow Mongol to sweep him here. Mongol had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Da Souza is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mongol Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Da Souza's back instead. Da Souza tries to escape but Mongol has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mongol looking for the choke but no joy. Da Souza tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Da Souza working to try and regain half guard.
Mongol really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mongol trying to control but he's not successful this time. Da Souza trying desperately to get to his feet.

A close round but Cerebrinho Da Souza will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Horrible takedown by Da Souza or perhaps it was just good defense by Mongol which made him look bad. Mongol gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Mongol is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Da Souza manages to break the clinch.
Da Souza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mongol swivels and escapes. Da Souza rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mongol moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Mongol throws a half hearted mid kick. Mongol throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Cerebrinho Da Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Da Souza closes the distance and clinches. Mongol pulls guard effortlessly. Mongol working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Da Souza. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Da Souza postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Mongol strikes from his own guard. Mongol will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Da Souza with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Mongol throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Da Souza lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mongol controls Da Souza momentarily but Da Souza frees himself. Da Souza in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mongol working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Da Souza doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Da Souza manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Da Souza working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Da Souza gets to his feet. Mongol looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Da Souza fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Da Souza connects with a nice short shot to Mongol's temple. Da Souza slips a nice elbow through Mongol's hands, connecting with Mongol's forehead. Da Souza looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mongol with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Mongol is doing well to control the position and prevent Da Souza from advancing to side control. Mongol pushes Da Souza off and gets back to his feet. Da Souza fails with a takedown attempt. Mongol will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Da Souza changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mongol looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Mongol manages to work his way to half guard, despite Da Souza's best efforts. Mongol is trying to stand.

He's got his arms around Mongol's waist but Mongol gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Da Souza off to one side. Da Souza misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Phat Mongol has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cerebrinho Da Souza. Da Souza moves out of range of the body kick from Mongol.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mongol accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Da Souza escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mongol gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Da Souza wants to get back to his feet but Mongol is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Da Souza keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. Mongol trying to control but Da Souza is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Da Souza closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Da Souza trying to pass the guard but Mongol defending well. Cerebrinho Da Souza is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Mongol kicks Da Souza off and gets back to his feet. Da Souza doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mongol counters by moving into the clinch. Mongol has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Da Souza blocking some punches.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Da Souza controlling from the top position. Mongol is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mongol passes to side control. Mongol has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Mongol throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Da Souza scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Da Souza prevents Mongol from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Da Souza blocks the strikes from Mongol.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mongol tries to roll over but Da Souza keeps him under control. Mongol actively working from the bottom here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Mongol is doing well to control the position and prevent Da Souza from advancing to side control. Phat Mongol has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mongol looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mongol missing with a left hand there. Da Souza was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Da Souza tries to close the distance and clinch but Mongol swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Excellent takedown into side control there by Da Souza.
And that's the end of the fight! Phat Mongol showed his dominance in that final round. I think Da Souza has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
