Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pieter Christensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Saekenpai Fairtex!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex shoots and misses
and Christensen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Saekenpai Fairtex seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christensen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fairtex has his takedown stuffed
and Christensen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fairtex closes the distance but Christensen moves to the side
and Christensen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fairtex with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Christensen to score with a decent uppercut.
Fairtex is rocked!
Christensen steps in with a hook that catches Fairtex right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Christensen follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Fairtex looks absolutely devastated.
