Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balen Andrano (ranked 3937 p4p, 3976 weight class) and Lance Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins loads up on a big right hand but Andrano slips the punch.
Higgins clinches up with Andrano and pushes him back against the cage.
Higgins lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Higgins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Andrano swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Higgins has Andrano up against the cage in a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Andrano scores with a nice hook to the head.
Higgins has Andrano pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Higgins pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Andrano tumbling to the mat - Higgins dives into Andrano's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Andrano controls Higgins momentarily but Higgins frees himself.
Andrano lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Andrano is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Higgins is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Andrano is fighting to break Higgins's control of his arms but Higgins is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Lance Higgins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Higgins drives through and clinches with Andrano against the cage.
Higgins lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Higgins unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Andrano! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Higgins is unloading with more strikes now! Andrano drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
